Silvio De Sousa – Florida Vipers

Stats: 20.0 PPG, 6.0 RPG, 2.3 APG, 2.3 SPG

De Sousa is ranked as the No. 16 prospect in the 2018 class and certainly proved why this past weekend. He has totaled 60 points in just 80 minutes of floor time thus far on the UAA circuit. He posts a team-leading 20 points per contest while shooting a remarkable 72 percent from the floor, both of which are the second-best among U17 participants. Additionally, the Florida native averages six boards a game as well as over two steals.

De Sousa has led his team to a 3-1 record, the lone loss coming to Sports U, one of the top teams on the circuit. Despite a 22-point (8-of-12 from the field), six rebound outing, Sports U knocked off the Vipers by seven thanks to a spectacular fourth quarter performance.

Though I didn’t see De Sousa play, his numbers on the UAA are fantastic as he continues to establish himself as one of the top bigs in the junior class. Headlined by offers of Florida, Florida State, and Kansas, De Sousa’s recruitment looks to be one of the more intriguing one’s come next year.
