4. Kansas State – Won 69 – 68

Maryland showed some heart and survived a late push from Kansas State in the Barclays Center Classic to stay undefeated on the season. Melo Trimble scored 18 points and put the Terrapins ahead with 6.6 seconds left on a driving layup. He was named MVP of the Tournament and came in clutch down the stretch.

The team was responsible for nine total blocks and made up for a lackluster shooting performance. Michal Cekovsky and Justin Jackson also scored in double digits. Cekovsky brought in eight rebound,  and Jackson swatted four shots.
