Tier 4: Two second round picks

No. 8 Reyshawn Terry, 44th overall draft pick

Reyshawn Terry is the second surprise draft pick on this list. Terry had a career year his junior season, but came back down to earth in his senior campaign. He averaged 9.7 points and 5.4 rebounds in 2006-07.

The Orlando Magic selected 6’8″ forward and then shipped to the Dallas Mavericks on a draft day deal. Terry has never played in the NBA, though he is still playing professionally in Europe.

No. 7 David Noel, 39th overall pick

David Noel stepped up his production his senior year with Carolina in 2005-06, and parlayed that into a second round selection. Noel averaged 12.9 points and 6.8 boards as a senior. He ranks 14th all-time in the ACC in two-point shooting percentage at 60%.

The Milwaukee Bucks selected the 6’6″ guard in the second round with the 39th overall pick in 2006. He averaged 2.7 points and 1.8 rebounds in one season with the Bucks. Noel registered a 9.4 PER and 0.4 win shares.

Noel is currently playing professionally in Europe. Paul Millsap is the best player selected after Noel in 2006.
