Early schedule

The Demon Deacons will play three opponents before heading to an early season tournament, Queens University in an exhibition game on November 3, Georgia Southern on November 10, and then Liberty University on November 14.

All three of these games should be easy wins for a far superior Wake Forest squad. The easiest portion of their schedule, the Demon Deacons cannot afford to lose here if they want to earn a trip to the 2018 NCAA Tournament.

As an exhibition game, we should see plenty of run out of the bench players vs. Queens, but don’t be fooled. This is a really, really good team that could hang a little bit longer than Wake Forest fans would like, but should succumb eventually. Teams have embarrassing lose exhibition games in the past – we’re looking at you Memphis – so nothing is off the table in this one.

On to their actual games now, Georgia Southern is a solid squad, but the Eagles still don’t seem to have it all together. The Demon Deacons should roll over Georgia Southern with ease. The same could be said with the Liberty Flames. Wake Forest is a better program with better athletes and should dominate both of these matchups.
