Mississippi State

Mississippi State has not been relevant for a few years on the college basketball landscape.  Ben Howland has done a great job bringing in quality talent to try and get the Bulldog program rolling again. Howland was the victim of losing his best player to transfer in Malik Newman, but he is hoping he made up for the loss of Newman with a couple of new freshmen.

Nick Weatherspoon: Nick has really developed into a quick and aggressive combo guard who can score at all three levels.  When he drives the lane he sometimes looks like he is out of control, but he still finds a way to score.  This summer he worked on his three point shot and now has the skills and the weapons to score at all three levels.  He should play fine defense as he matures.  His brother is Mississippi State star Quindarry Weatherspoon.
