Northwestern Wildcats

Coming off the best season in Northwestern basketball history, with their first NCAA tournament appearance in school history and their first NCAA tournament win in NCAA history, this team looks to gain some traction to prove last year was not just a magical year. Plenty of talent returns and this could be an even more special season than last if they make a deep run in the Big Dance.

SG Anthony Gaines – New Hampton, NH

Rated ∗∗∗ and #190 by 247Sports

Gaines is an outstanding athlete.  He has the length to play shooting guard at 6’4”, but looks better suited to be a primary ball handler and floor leader, especially since Northwestern already has an elite shooting guard in Scottie Lindsey. With a top-notch point guard in Bryant McIntosh as well, Coach Collins should be able to bring Gaines along slowly.
