9. Miami Hurricanes

The Miami Hurricanes are expected to challenge for an ACC championship this season. And a major reason is the recruiting class that they added. Top recruit Lonnie Walker, a consensus top-50 prospect, had surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee this summer but is expected to ready for the start of the season. Walker is a high-flying scorer who is projected to be selected in the middle of the first round of the 2018 NBA Draft.

5’7″ point guard Chris Lykes and 6’10” power forward Deng Gak are both four-star recruits who could contribute some this year, but are expected to develop more in the future.  Sam Waardenburg is a two-star prospect from New Zealand who can stroke the ball from deep.

Miami will be a preseason top-25 team with high expectations. Walker will be one of the most exciting players in the country and seeing Lykes and Gak’s minutes distribution will be interesting.
