Big East Basketball: Breaking down the 2017 recruiting class
By Bryan Mauro
Seton Hall Pirates
The Pirates have a loaded roster coming back to campus this year. Angel Delgado is one of the best two-way players in the entire country and a top rebounder. Kevin Willard, their head coach, has really done a great job building this program into a tournament team and a force to be reckoned with in the Big East.
Myles Cale: Myles can score, and score, and then score some more. He doesn’t bring much on the defensive end of the floor, though. Cale can score from all three levels, is a very good 3-point shooter, and is known to pull off some high degree of difficulty dunks in a game. Myles likes to get out and run the floor and he is deadly in transition. Myles should step in and play right away for the Pirates. If the transition from high school to college goes well, Myles could light up the scoreboard.
St. John’s Red Storm
Chris Mullin is looking to the get the Red Storm back to respectability. The product that has been on the floor the last few seasons for the Red Storm has been less than stellar. St. John’s does have the talent to get back to respectability and they also have a very young team with fantastic sophomore leaders in Marcus LoVett and Shamorie Ponds.
Sidney Wilson: Wilson is an extremely athletic wing who can finish at the rim. He is another Brewster Academy product. Brewster Academy went undefeated last year in their high school season.
