Bench

Alabama’s bench is also loaded with experienced players who can bolster the starting unit. Previously mentioned, Giddens and Norris will earn the most minutes, but Avery Johnson Jr should also see consistent playing time as the first guard off the bench.

Johnson Jr struggled with his efficiency last season and averaged 6.9ppg as a third guard. Johnson Jr is the son of head coach Avery Johnson so he probably does not have to worry about losing his role.

Senior wing Ar’Mond Davis rounds out the projected bench rotation. Davis was a highly regarded JUCO prospect who struggled with his efficiency during his first season at Alabama. Giddens, Norris, Johnson Jr, and Davis are all experienced players which will only benefit the Crimson Tide.

Freshmen Herb Jones, Alex Reese, and Gallin Smith will provide depth this season but will be key pieces in future seasons.
