Key Reserves:

Georgetown does not have much quality depth on this team. The Hoyas are going to have to play a lot of players who have not played much college basketball. The Hoyas may only be able to play seven players. That is going to hamper the things that the Hoyas are able to do this year, as they hope they have no injuries to their starting five.

Jahvon Blair- Freshman

Blair is a player from Orangeville Prep in Ontario, Canada. Blair was another key recruit for Ewing and company. Blair is a good shooter as an off guard and should play some quality minutes. Blair is going to come on the floor and be expected to score and shoot three-pointers. Blair is going to take a little while to adjust to the college level of defense. In fact, Blair is a scorer, he does not do much else, but, if he comes in and scores like he is capable of, Georgetown can shorten a game and keep opponents at arm’s length.

Antwan Walker- Freshman

Walker is another Washington DC product who stayed at home. This time Ewing had to make sure Walker stayed on campus once he took the job. Walker picked the Hoyas over the Virginia Tech Hokies. Walker is a high flyer who the Hoyas fans will love. He has electrifying dunks and is a load inside the paint. Walker will see the floor and be looked to score but like Pickett and Blair, there will be some growing pains. Walker along with the other Freshman on this team are nice pieces to build around.

Trey Dickerson-Senior

Dickerson is a graduate transfer via South Dakota. Dickerson started his career at Iowa where he struggled to get onto the floor. Dickerson has some holes in his game but will fill in nicely as the backup point guard going into the season. If Mosely struggles early, Dickerson may find himself into the starting lineup. Dickerson has played a lot of college basketball in his career, and he will be able to guide the young kids on this team and, hopefully, make them better.

Chris Sodom- Freshman

When you are 7’3” any coach will find a way to play you. Sodom is a guy who moves well for his size.  At this point in his career, Sodom is not great on offense, but he can protect the rim and is a good rebounder. The minutes that Sodom plays early on are going to be minutes to help shore up the Hoyas on defense. He does move well for his size and is not a liability in catching the ball underneath. If the offense ever develops for Sodom he could be an elite center in the league with his size and already polished defensive skillset.

Trey Mourning- Senior

Mourning did not play much at all last year. Alonzo’s kid was looking to transfer in the offseason, but Ewing convinced him to stay. Since Mourning stayed, he may get on the floor for the Hoyas team. Mourning most likely won’t contribute much if he does play.
