Key Reserves

SR Ray Bowles

The leading scorer at Pacific last year, Bowles is a multi-dimensional guard whose size and capabilities allow him to play a few positions on the court. Terry will have a guy off the bench who can be plugged in without any drop in production.

SR Braxton Huggins

The 6’3 guard already has experience in the NCAA Tournament thanks to his previous stay at New Mexico State. A guy who can flat out score at times, he brings instant offense off the bench.

SO Nate Grimes

A frontcourt player who didn’t play much at all in the beginning, he received more playing time as players were kicked out of the program. Being the only true big expected to get any minutes off the bench, the 6’8, 225-pound Grimes will have chances to be part of the main rotation.

The coaches’ confidence in Grimes could also play a factor in the starting lineup. If they’re unwilling to give Grimes more minutes and buries him on the bench, they may just go to a four guard lineup and have either Williams or Carter back the other up.

SO Johnny McWilliams

As a freshman, McWilliams didn’t play much due to the gluttony of guards. That’s likely to be the case this season as well, but at 6’6, 210 pounds, there may be a role for him somewhere.

SO New Williams

The former four-star player out of Auburn will miss the first semester due to transfer rules. There’s actually a good chance he won’t play much in the second semester either with the depth at the guard line. But, with several seniors on the perimeter, next year will be his chance to make an impact on the team.
