Key Reserves

Shaq Carr

It’ll be interesting to see who starts at point as Carr is a senior leader as well. In 20 minutes a game, he averaged 4.7 ppg and started six games last season. He’s the complete opposite of Benson in that Carr rarely shoots the three.

Grand Canyon does have other options at guard on the bench, so one possibility could be to start both Carr and Benson, move Braun to the wing and Martin to the bench. Either way, it’s a good issue to have for the coaching staff.

Damari Milstead

This three-star point guard will have fluctuating minutes depending on how the senior guards are used. He could be a redshirt option to bulk up his 155 pounds, but either way, this 6’2″ talented guard will be the future ball handler of the team.

Kervin Smith

Even though he moved to the bench thanks to Frayer, Smith’s minutes and production actually improved last season. His numbers won’t ever be eye-catching but is a solid backup option in the frontcourt for the Antelopes.

Fiifi Aidoo

As a freshman, Aidoo had a solid impact on the team, playing 16 minutes per game and averaging 4.6 ppg. He has good size as a combo guard but must improve his 34% shooting from the field. His quickness and athleticism makes him a fun player to watch in the league.

Kenzo Nudo

Another player who was injured last year, Nudo only completed nine games. Like Aidoo, his 6’7″, 200-pound frame is appealing, but shooting only 26% from the field will not warrant playing time this season.
