Marvin Bagley makes NBA Draft interesting

Michael Porter Jr. is expected to be the No. 1 selection in the 2018 NBA Draft. Porter Jr., who plays for Cuonzo Martin and the Missouri Tigers, was the No. 1 player in the Class of 2017 and the No. 1 small forward in the Class of 2017.

At least he was before Marvin Bagley decided to reclassify to the Class of 2017 and play for the Duke Blue Devils. Bagley, who instantly became the top player in the Class of 2017 and No. 1 overall power forward.

That being said, Bagley is still considered to be the No. 2 pick in the NBA Draft behind Porter J., but, with a solid season, he could jump Porter Jr. for that No. 1 spot.

It always somewhat depends on the needs of the team that drafts at the No. 1 spot on which player gets drafted first, but, if it’s a team that is just looking for raw talent, Bagley has what it takes to show everyone that he deserves to be the No. 1 overall pick and secure the notoriety and, more importantly, the extra money that comes with it.

I still think Porter Jr. would have to do something that shows scouts that he shouldn’t be No. 1, but, with a good season from Bagley, anything can happen.
