Key Reserves

FR Ike Obiagu

The seven footer from Nigeria is ranked by 247sports as a top five center and No. 62 overall 2017 recruit. He continues in a great line of great defensive centers for Florida State in recent memory. In his senior year in high school, he averaged over seven blocks a game. He very well could be a better player than Koumadje right now, but should be brought along slowly off the bench for the time being.

SO Trent Forrest

As a freshman last season, Forrest contributed around five points a game in 15 minutes of action. The 6’5 guard has a good chance to be the sixth man for the Seminoles this season.

SR Braian Angola-Rodas

The upcoming senior had 4.6 ppg in 12 minutes last year, and will look for more minutes at the wing position.

JR PJ Savoy

The 6’4 guard has a chance to be instant offense off the bench, where last season scored efficiently despite limited minutes.

FR Raiquan Gray, Wyatt Wilkes and Anthony Polite

All three forwards were ranked by 247sports between 150-200 in the 2017 class, with varying skill sets. Gray is a 240-pound post player with great rebounding ability. Polite is more of a wing that can guard all over the perimeter. He and Gray were also AAU teammates for the Florida Vipers. Wilkes is the only true stretch forward on the roster, but is a good defender as well. Gray is a redshirt option, while Polite and Wilkes could get some good minutes this season.
