Center: Marvin Bagley III vs. Keith Stone

The sophomore Keith Stone is a solid role player who takes on the top option in the post. He struggled against Johnathan Williams of Gonzaga, who dropped 39 points on him and his teammates. He should be on the bench for the team, but John Egbunu is still recovering from an ACL injury.

This is simply a mismatch with Marvin Bagley coming to town, just coming off a season-best 34 points and 15 rebounds in the OT win to the Longhorns. The 6’11 forward has been a 20-10 machine so far and will be on the shortlist for the player of the year award at the end of the season. His youthfulness shows at times, highlighted by a three-point attempt as time expired to Texas, rather than going to the hole.

If this was Bagley vs. Egbunu, this would be an outstanding battle, as the senior is one of the top defenders in the post in all of college basketball. His physicality is second to none and would’ve had the edge in this one-on-one match-up. Unfortunately, he’s not, which makes this one one-sided.

Edge: Bagley
