Despite Seton Hall taking their first loss of the season this week, they still stay strong at their No. 3 spot. This loss came in their first game of the week in a nail-biter against Rhode Island. Although Rhody has not been great to start this season, they are still the expected frontrunner out of the Atlantic 10 and this will not go down as a bad neutral loss for the Pirates.

Also, the team was able to respond well to this loss by bouncing back on the very next day to defeat Vanderbilt by 13 points. The Pirates are one of the top teams in the nation this season and that is thanks to their incredible senior class. In fact, three of the team’s top four scorers are seniors and they are the ones leading the way on the court for head coach Kevin Willard.

Surprisingly, Angel Delgado is not currently averaging a double-double as his rebounds have slipped to just 9.3 per game. Still, he is one of the most imposing rebounders in the country and he can control the glass in just about every game. With two straight games against top-25 teams, we are about to find out just how good Seton Hall is at this point.

Schedule for this week:

  • Texas Tech (6-0) vs. Seton Hall on Nov. 30 in New York, NY
  • Seton Hall at Louisville (4-1) on Dec. 3
