6. Dartmouth 3-4 (Preseason ranking 4)

The guys in Green have four losses in the first month, but the biggest one they’ll take all year was the announcement that star forward Evan Bordeaux would sit out this year and transfer after her officially graduates from the school. He’s already picked his team for next year with nationally ranked Xavier. His 16.0 ppg average in the first couple of seasons can’t be replaced.

His departure did open doors for other players to get more minutes with freshman Chris Knight the primary beneficiary. He’s one of five players averaging in double digits and currently leads the team with 12.9 ppg. He won’t fully replace Bordeaux, but there’s a player for the future that fans can enjoy.

5. Cornell 3-5 (Preseason ranking 6)

The Big Red might very likely be the top offensive team in the Ivy, led by the once again leading conference scorer in Matt Morgan. His 22.9 ppg is the best and has scored at least 23 points in each game but one. Stone Gettings has been the top option up front, with 12.0 ppg and 3.9 rpg.

The reason why this 3-5 team is ahead of the other programs has been their two wins over Toledo and Duquesne, better than the others. Cornell could be an even better team if they improved on their defensive numbers, which are in the 300s. They haven’t given up less than 71 points yet this season.
