Big Ten Basketball: Power ranking the conference after week 6
Nebraska remains in the No. 10 spot in this week’s rankings despite dropping their only game of the week last week. The Huskers do have a solid win over Minnesota earlier in the season, though, which is why they have not moved down in the rankings.
Last week, the Huskers lost a very hard-fought game to the struggling Kansas Jayhawks, 73-72. This was a great effort by Tim Miles’ team, even though it was at home.
So, Huskers fans really can’t complain about their team’s effort. The Huskers have two RPI top-100 wins, including one RPI top-50 win.
James Palmer, who led the Huskers with 14 points against the Jayhawks, continues to lead the team with a 14.2 ppg scoring average. Glynn Watson Jr. is close behind with 13.7 ppg, while Isaac Copeland adds 12.7 points and 6.8 rebounds per game so far this season.
Schedule for this week:
Texas-San Antonio (7-5) at Nebraska on Dec. 20
Delaware State (2-10) at Nebraska on Dec. 22
