1. Sean Miller

Sean Miller is a defensive maestro and a recruiting genius. (Arizona is a top-three defense in the Pac-12 for the fifth consecutive season.) But he flat-out struggles on the offensive end.

Players play scared on offense under Miller. He is infamous around the country for having a short temper. It shows whenever a player takes a less-than-perfect shot. You can literally see a teenager’s confidence be shaken to the core as Miller screams to the bench for a sub after an aggressive move gone awry.

Regardless of the roster, Arizona has run the same dribble-handoff motion at the top of the key each season. It has become so predictable that you can see defenders effortlessly switch each handoff from the opening tip.

This Arizona team is as talented as any in program history. There is NBA talent, veteran leadership, individual scoring, and a beast under the basket. But one of these flaws — whether it’s the lack of elite point guard play, the lack of three-point shooting or the lack of offensive leadership from its head coach — will inevitably bring down Arizona short of its championship aspirations.
