Team Spotlight: Xavier Musketeers

Welcome to the No. 1 line, Xavier! It seems like there is a new team in this spot every single week. Because of this, it is reasonable to wonder how long the Musketeers will hold this position. There is an absolutely daunting schedule ahead for Xavier and if they somehow go 3-1 or 4-0 in their next four games, they will be very firmly on this top line. With that being said, though, their chances of going 1-3 or 2-2 are also very high.

During this next stretch, the Musketeers will face Butler and Creighton on the road before returning home for matchups with Seton Hall and Villanova. The Big East can seriously be brutal. Yet, Chris Mack’s team is disciplined and determined. Needing overtime to defeat Georgetown at home in their last game might have been the wake-up call that this team needed.

With all due respect to the several teams chasing after this spot at the moment, Xavier is the most-deserving team for the time being. In a matter of just a few days, this opinion could be solidified or proved to be completely wrong. At this point in the year, anything can happen.
