CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA – DECEMBER 30: Jerome Robinson /

Last week: Win 81-58 at Pittsburgh – Home loss 84-67 vs Notre Dame

Jerome Robinson and Ky Bowman combine to average 37.3 ppg for the Eagles. Robinson had a monster performance in their loss to Notre Dame, scoring  a career-high 46 points. He set a record for  Purcell Pavilion in the process. They like to turn games into shootouts, but their defense often puts them in a position to lose. The fact that Robinson’s 46 points came in a loss shows the problem.

This year should be considered a success either way due to how tough last year was for the program. But Bowman and Robinson have played like All-ACC players, and they have put the Eagles in a position almost no one predicted them being with four conference games to go.

All four of the Eagles remaining games are against teams on the bubble. If they can end the year on a win streak, they can put themselves in position to be end the year with a bang.
