Who wins?

Semifinals: 1) Florida Gulf Coast vs. 5) North Florida

This is a dangerous game for the Eagles, as North Florida’s offense has the firepower to win this game. Problem is, they definitely don’t have the defense to compete, giving up 199 points in the two games against Florida Gulf Coast. Expect another 100 to drop in this one.

Prediction: Florida Gulf Coast 102 – North Florida 85

Semifinals: 2) Lipscomb vs. 6) Kennesaw State

The Owls have the talent to make this competitive, but the Bison had too much in the regular season, and should once again in this game.

Prediction: Lipscomb 81 – Kennesaw State 70

Finals: 1) Florida Gulf Coast vs. 2) Lipscomb

Here we are at the finals, with the two best teams in it. They split in the regular season, when the Bison exposed the Eagle’s defense towards the end of the season. Lipscomb has already won at Florida Gulf Coast, so the question will be, can they do it again?

Next: Mid-majors with a chance to make history in March

The teams are built pretty similar, with two great scorers surrounding by some quality veterans. The Bison has been on a tear as of late, and I predict that the run continues, in an upset in the Atlantic Sun title game. It’ll be a historic moment for the program, as Lipscomb would be going dancing for the first time in school history. What better way to start off conference tournament season than some history
