USC

For what it is worth, there were at least 4 teams I felt USC deserved a bid over. However, issues that plagued the Trojans throughout the season came back to bite them and they will be one of the top seeds in the NIT.

It is difficult to overcome inconsistency, but USC was still the second team in the Pac-12, the Pac-12 Tournament Runner-Up, and a Top 50 RPI team. That, however, was not enough to mask their bad losses to Princeton, Stanford, and SMU.

While only one USC win came against an NCAA Tournament team, CSU Fullerton in their home opener, the Trojans still expected to make the tournament. With players like Jordan McLaughlin and Chimezie Metu, it is a disappointment to the team and its fans that they could not pull it off.

Heading into the NIT the Trojans will be one of the favorites to win the country’s second most-watched postseason tournament. They have finally figured out their rotations, and they won’t have to deal with Deandre Ayton throwing down oops.
