(11) St. Bonaventure over (6) Florida

Even though St. Bonaventure is only going to have one night of rest between their win over UCLA and this matchup with Florida, I like them as my top upset pick. They dropped to a No. 11 seed due to their loss in the Atlantic 10 semifinals to Davidson. But, the team has still won 14 of its last 15 games and that has to count for something.

The Bonnies are led by elite guard play in Jaylen Adams and Matt Mobley. In addition, Courtney Stockard looked excellent once again against UCLA, showing that he is back to almost full health after missing their game against Davidson.

Even though Florida had a great Quadrant 1 record (9-5) this season, they struggled in both Quadrants 2 and 3 (6-7 combined). According to Haslametrics, the Gators rank 326th in overall consistency, which is not a good sign for an NCAA Tournament team.

While Florida plays with the 239th-fastest tempo in the nation, St. Bonaventure ranks 115th in that category. Behind the talented guards I already mentioned, I expect the Bonnies to be able to force the Gators to play at a much faster pace than they are accustomed to.
