Can Loyola-Chicago win it all?

Would I bet that the Ramblers would be the last team to cut down the nets? No. But I also wouldn’t have bet money at the dozen or so other results in this year’s tournament, so my opinion doesn’t matter. But I will say that once a team makes the Final Four, they have a shot at winning the national title, regardless of seeding.

Can the Ramblers beat Michigan?

This is not meant to be a shot towards the Wolverines, but I like the Ramblers to have a good shot at winning this. These teams mirror one another, with a balanced display of efficient offense being carried by a stifling defense.

Michigan is a great team, but by no means to they overpower opponents with their athleticism. They’re just a hard playing, well-coached team. You cant’ pick your Final Four opponents, but Loyola-Chicago matches up well with the Big Ten Tournament champs.

Who would Loyola-Chicago rather play – Villanova or Kansas?

This is essentially picking your poison, as the winner of that other semifinals matchup will be the favorite to win the title game. Both teams have an outstanding offense and can play decent defense.

Of the two I would pick Kansas because although they have more size than the Wildcats, I just don’t see how the Ramblers can keep up offensively with them. Too much of a task to ask for.
