7. Eric Paschall, Villanova

Paschall is the least likely of the seven to be named the Most Outstanding Player of the Tournament. But he is coming off a tremendous game against Kansas, where he connected on 10 of 11 shots from the floor including 4 of 5 from beyond the arc. The 6-foot-9 junior forward set career-highs in points (24), made field goals as well as made 3-pointers versus the Jayhawks.

Paschall has had a very good NCAA Tournament thus far. He has scored in double figures in four of the five game. This includes posting a double-double in the Elite Eight victory over Texas Tech, where he finished with 12 points along with a career-best 14 caroms. Paschall has made nine of his 35 treys during the season and is 15 of 19 (78.9%) from the charity during the tournament.

For the season, Paschall is producing 10.7 points along with 6.2 rebounds and 2.2 assists.

6. Omari Spellman, Villanova

Like Paschall, Spellman is unlikely to win the MOP of the Final Four. But the Big East Rookie of the Year was outstanding against Kansas, totaling 15 points and 13 rebounds for his 11th double-double of the campaign. He was 6 of 15 from the field and 3 of 9 from long distance in the semifinals.

The thing that helps Spellman’s case is that he is a factor in all areas of the game. The 6-foot-9 forward is averaging 12.5 points, 8.4 rebounds, 2.5 3-pointers and 1.8 blocks a game for the Tournament. While shooting 42.9% (21-49) from the field and 42.8% (12-28) from beyond the arc.

Spellman has scored in double figures in four of five Tournament games. For the season, he is contributing 10.9 points and 7.9 boards a game.
