12. South Carolina Gamecocks 17-16 (7-11)

Guard play was a big issue last season, and it looks to be another problem for 2018-19 as well. But Maik Kotsar‘s step backwards in development was another disappointing development. The only sure thing South Carolina has is Chris Silva, but in a loaded SEC that simply won’t be good enough.

11. Missouri Tigers 20-13 (10-8)

As expected, Michael Porter Jr. is gone. His brother Jontay, could be gone as he’s testing the waters. But the real losses were Kassius Roberson and Jordan Barnett, the Tiger’s top scorers on the year.

Missouri had a top-five recruiting class heading into this year, and the team went to the NCAA Tournament as a result. These incoming prospects aren’t as good, making another appearance less likely.

10. Arkansas Razorbacks 23-12 (10-8)

Head coach Mike Anderson knew that the off-season would be rough, with the entire backcourt graduating, with nearly 50 ppg of production going with them. Making matters worse, two other role players have transferred after the season, making it five out of the top six scorers leaving the program.

Arkansas would have been last on the list, had it not been the surprising decision by freshman forward Daniel Gafford to stay another year. The future lottery pick will now be the focal point, with the No. 25 nationally ranked recruiting class coming in to support him. The drop-off won’t be as bad as folks think with this team.
