Brandon Williams (No. 31 ranked prospect) – Point guard

One of several players who left Arizona during the team’s scandal-plagued season, Williams looks to stay on the west coast, with Arizona State, Gonzaga, and Oregon gunning for him hard.

The Sun Devils don’t have a guaranteed starting point guard compared to both the Bulldogs and Ducks, but also isn’t in the same position to make a deep NCAA Tournament run either.

Prediction: There are two issues for Williams to consider. For Oregon, they already have two point guards who aren’t’ seniors. For Gonzaga, they play in the WCC, which has been a problem for highly touted west coast recruits who prefer to play in the Pac-12.

He has a visit scheduled with the Bulldogs in early June, but I think he commits to Oregon long beforehand, joining an already stacked class.

Jordan Brown (No. 16 ranked prospect) – Power forward

The only non-guard top 100 player left, his decision will have a big impact for next season. He’s never committed and has taken things slow, with no true frontrunner.

Many teams are involved, including Gonzaga, Nevada, St. John’s, Arizona, Cal, Stanford, and even Louisiana Lafayette (father’s alma mater). There have been different favorites over time, but roster moves seem to have changed things.

Prediction: Based on Brown’s chances of playing immediately as well as location, the Encino, California native will likely pick between Nevada, Cal, and Stanford. The Wolf Pack and Cardinal can win now, and with the Pac-12 being the tie-breaker, Stanford should be the favorite.
