Fit with the Indiana Hoosiers

Head coach Archie Miller has done an excellent job since taking over in Bloomington. The on-court play may not have resulted in an NCAA Tournament appearance this last year but it was a step in the right direction. The Hoosiers finished 16-15 (9-9 Big Ten) on the season but progressed throughout the season. As Miller starts to bring in his own recruits and instill his teachings, IUBB will take the next leap as a program.

Miller has done a tremendous job with his first true recruiting class at Indiana. He has already signed four players, all of them ranking in the national top-150 by 247Sports. The class ranks 21st in the nation as of April 13. Without a true shooting guard in the class, the potential addition of Langford could move Indiana from being solid next season to being contenders in the conference.

For Langford, the opportunity to shine at one of the most prestigious programs in the country might be too hard to pass up. Even though the Hoosiers have had some down years recently, their history is among the best nationwide. Of course, it also helps that Langford lives just down the road from the school.

Langford is well-known not only for his on-the-court success but also for the loyalty he expressed when remaining at his public high school for the past four years. In addition, Gregg Doyel of IndyStar wrote on the “legend” that Langford is in the state of Indiana. If Langford wants to stay in-state, then IU is his best option. However, Archie Miller is not one with a ton of experience when it comes to one-and-done players. Will this be his chance to snag one?
