Teams just outside of the Top 25

30. Washington Huskies – Previous rank (29)

29. Montana Grizzlies – Previous rank (30)

28. Clemson Tigers – Previous rank (27)

27. Marquette Golden Eagles – Previous rank (N/A)

26. Texas Tech Red Raiders – Previous rank (23)

29 of the 30 teams from the previous list have remained, with the exception of Alabama. The Crimson Tide took a big hit this past week with the announcement of Braxton Key transferring. That was an unexpected blow to their roster.

Replacing them is Marquette, who got a big-time grad transfer commitment from Joseph Chartouny. The former Fordham guard is the perfect complimentary to Markus Howard and should keep the Golden Eagles in contention for a top-3 spot in the Big East.

Sliding down to get here is Texas Tech, who will lose freshman star Zhaire Smith to the NBA. He might be the unlikeliest “one and done” that will appear in the first-round this upcoming draft. They will bring in a grad transfer big in Tariq Owens from St. John’s, but the Red Raiders will have to replace Smith’s production from both ends of the court.

An underrated move was Montana getting Pacific grad transfer Jack Williams. He adds some good size to a Grizzlies team that was already solid on the perimeter. This makes them all the more of a favorite to win the Big Sky next season.

Washington will be intact for next season, but Clemson is more of a question mark. Both Marcquise Reed and Sheldon Mitchell will both be going through the draft process. As long as they each return, the Tigers should be just fine.
