Teams 20-16

20. Michigan Wolverines – Previous rank (13)

19. Florida Gators – Previous rank (20)

18. Texas Longhorns – Previous rank (19)

17. Auburn Tigers – Previous rank (7)

16. Virginia Tech Hokies – Previous rank (18)

Hokies fans don’t have to worry about any more draft decisions, so their roster is safe. The same can’t be said for both Michigan and Auburn, who each took the biggest slides in the past few weeks.

Wolverine fans were prepared for this, after the individual run Moritz Wagner made to the national title game. His draft stock rose to high for him to stay in school.

That wasn’t the case for Auburn’s leading scorer Mustapha Heron, who despite a good season wasn’t projected to be drafted. He still went ahead and signed with an agent, foregoing college. DeSean Murray also has left the Tigers, along with Davion Mitchell.

Things can go from bad to worse for Bruce Pearl and the team. Austin Wiley, Bryce Brown, and Jared Harper are still in the draft without agents, and losing any of them could cause Auburn to slide out of the rankings. No one suffered more than this team this early off-season.

Texas will be waiting on Kerwin Roach to officially come back, while Jalen Hudson of Florida has a decision to make himself. Both teams need their lead guards to return.
