1. G Malachi Flynn, Washington State

Since announcing his intention to transfer, the trail has gone cold on Malachi Flynn’s next move. That’s a shame, since his recruitment has the potential to be the most buzzworthy story left of the offseason.

Flynn emerges from the ashes of a fallen Cougars program with a lot of luster left on his shoulders. Last season, he averaged 15.8 points per game, good for second on Washington State’s roster.

The Washington native was a full-time starter during both of his seasons in Pullman. He also averaged 4.3 assists and 3.4 rebounds per game last year, while boosting his free throw percentage to .846.

FanRag Sports reported that there was no shortage of suitors for the talented guard, who will be forced to sit out the season before his last two years of eligibility. Flynn listed Creighton, Texas A&M, San Diego State, Baylor, Gonzaga, Virginia Tech, Boise State, St. John’s, and Nevada among the schools he was considering.

But that report from Jon Rothstein came almost two weeks ago. Since then, there’s been virtual radio silence on Flynn’s future.
