No .25 Nebraska @ No. 19 Clemson – Nov. 26

Our preseason No. 19 Clemson Tigers will have their hands full with our 25th-ranked Nebraska Cornhuskers. Clemson is coming off their best season under head coach Brad Brownell, who led them to a 25-10 record and a deep run in the NCAA Tournament.

The Tigers will be led this season by Marcquise Reed (15.8 points), Shelton Mitchell (12.2 points), and Elijah Thomas (10.7 points). It will be interesting to see if they can repeat last year’s performance, which culminated in their first NCAA Tournament appearance since the 2010-11 season.

Nebraska guard James Palmer and forward Isaac Copeland should be fun to watch against a defensive-minded Clemson squad. Palmer had a breakout junior campaign in 2017-18, averaging 17.2 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game. Copeland also had a strong junior season after transferring from Georgetown and sitting out the 2016-17 season. He averaged 12.9 points and 6.1 rebounds per contest in his first year with the Cornhuskers. Rising junior Isaiah Roby should also be a solid contributor.

The two teams last met in the 2016 ACC/Big Ten Challenge when the Tigers won 60-58 in a back and forth affair. Prepare for more of the same.
