8. Roderick Williams – Boise State Broncos

2017-18 stats: 19.4 ppg and 6.6 rpg at East Los Angeles College

Chandler Hutchinson was one of the best scorers in the country last season, averaging 20.0 ppg. The Broncos aren’t the kind of program that can simply replace that kind of production, so they’ll have to find other ways to do so.

That’s where Williams comes in, nearly going for 20 a night in two years at the JUCO ranks. He prides himself at being a slasher from the perimeter to get his scoring since he hasn’t yet shown that he can be a proficient shooter. The incoming junior will be part of a six-man recruiting class for Boise State, who are looking to stay near the top of the Mountain West.

7. Charles Jones – Utah Utes

2017-18 stats: 19.7 ppg at the College of Southern Idaho

The reigning National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Player of the Year, Jones is an explosive scoring guard who upped his average to nearly 25 ppg during his team’s postseason run. The pickup of him is huge for Utah, who loses the team’s leading scorer and passer in Justin Bibbins.

At 6’2 and 200 pounds, Jones is an instant upgrade on the defensive end while providing a much-needed scoring punch for a team that loses several double-digits scorers.
