Iowa

Starting Five: Jarrod Uthoff, Peter Jok, Adam Haluska, Roy Devyn Marble, Greg Brunner

Bench: Reggie Evans, Aaron White, Jeff Horner, Dean Oliver, Matt Gatens

MVP: My head says Uthoff, but my heart says Haluska so I’m going with the sharpshooter over the big man in the hometown hero face off.

Not a bad starting five, but the Cyclones crew would win in a battle for Iowa.

Maryland

Starting Five: Juan Dixon, Steve Blake, Greivis Vasquez, Melo Trimble, Lonny Baxter

Bench: Jordan Williams, Dez Wells, D.J. Strawberry, Drew Nicholas, Nik Caner-Medley, James Gist, Jake Layman, Terrell Stoglin, Chris Wilcox

MVP: Vasquez is one of my favorite college players of all time, but I have to go with Dixon. Like General Greivis he was an All-American, but Dixon led Maryland to their first National Championship.

The whole squad from the back-to-back Final Four appearances made the cut: Dixon, Blake, Baxter, Wilcox, Nicholas. Even as a Duke fan, that was a great team to watch play.
