All aboard the Romeo Langford hype train. A top-5 recruit in the nation, Langford is going to be the talk of the summer and fall in Bloomington this year. He is an elite talent who will be a preseason contender to win Big Ten Player of the Year. Langford has been the talk of the state since his commitment to IU and he has significantly increased the expectations for head coach Archie Miller’s team in year two under his leadership. However, this team is about much more than just the heralded guard.

Although players like Robert Johnson (14.0 points) and Josh Newkirk (7.1 points) are gone, the Hoosiers return a fair amount of their roster from last season. Most prominently, leading scorer and rebounder Juwan Morgan (16.5 points, 7.4 rebounds) is coming back to school for his senior season. Although Langford may immediately be handed the reigns of being the go-to-guy for the Hoosiers, Morgan would be one heck of a second option. In addition, Devonte Green (7.6 points) returns for his junior season after starting 12 games this past year. To round of the group of returning players, rising sophomores Justin Smith (6.5 points) and Aljami Durham (4.8 points) are coming back as well.

As far as recruiting goes, Coach Miller has a great group coming in. Having already touched on Langford, it is also important to note that four other top-150 recruits are coming in to make Indiana’s 2018 class ranked No. 10 in the country. In addition, highly-regarded 2017 recruit Race Thompson, who redshirted last year, will see his first minutes.
