Miles Bridges, Michigan State

Miles Bridges was the other Michigan State Spartans player selected at No. 12 overall to the Charlotte Hornets. Bridges’ versatility will be of great use in Charlotte as they look to recover from another down year.

The Hornets went 36-46 this past season and lacked another offensive weapon alongside Kemba Walker to get them over the hump. They had Dwight Howard, but they’ve since traded the former standout center to the Brooklyn Nets, where his contract is expected to be bought out.

Insert Miles Bridges into the equation, although he’s no Dwight Howard. Bridges has the ability and the athleticism to get Charlotte over the hump. He put up 17.1 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game as a sophomore with the Spartans. He also has the ability to shoot the 3, after shooting 36.4 percent from the 3-point line.

Bridges will have his work cut out for him, but in terms of talent, he’s got what it takes to make an impact on the Hornets roster.
