TCU Horned Frogs

Class rankings: 5th in the Big 12, 30th nationally

Commitments: Kaden Archie (86), Kendric Davis (150), Russell Barlow (244) and Yuat Alok (No. 2 JC transfer)

After making the NCAA Tournament for the first time in nearly 30 seasons, head coach Jamie Dixon’s recruiting has put the Horned Frogs in solid position to get back there. A top-30 recruiting class is unheard of for the program, but the talent level has exponentially risen in the past few years.

Archie is a 6’6 wing that has the highest potential of the group. The top-100 recruit fits what Dixon likes to do defensively with his versatility, with an ability to penetrate to the basket. Davis will be Jaylen Fisher’s backup at the point guard position but might have to step in sooner rather than later if the injury concerns flare up again.

The frontcourt will be where things are most different for TCU after the starters all graduated. Alok is considered by some to be the best Junior College transfer big man for next season. At 6’10 and 220-pounds, the Chipola College star will be an instant impact player for the Horned Frogs. Barlow is a center that will be more for the future, an interior player still growing as an offensive player. His defense is currently his strong suit and will eventually develop into a solid role player.
