ACC basketball’s sophomore class had a few holdouts when it came to jumping ship to the NBA. Now, they lead a strong class of juniors for the 2018-19 season.

The ACC basketball conference returns a plethora of talent in its junior class. A few passed up on the 2018 NBA Draft to retake their place in their college basketball ranks and with good reason. The ACC will be competitive as ever in 2018-19 from the freshman class all the way up to the seniors.

A couple teams in the ACC have an opportunity to be scary good. The Virginia Cavaliers are the usual favorite to win it all but lurking in the shadows are the likes of the Boston College Golden Eagles and Syracuse Orange. Bringing their own twists to the table, both teams have an opportunity to be NCAA Tournament teams along with Duke, North Carolina and others.

The Golden Eagles lost Jerome Robinson to the NBA, but his backcourt mate Ky Bowman made the decision to return to school. Bowman wasn’t the only player who decided to wait it out, either. Tyus Battle’s return to the Syracuse Orange gives them a strong offensive scoring load for 2018-19.

The Florida State Seminoles are another team to keep an eye on. Despite the departures of Ike Obiagu and C.J. Walker, the Seminoles still have the length and versatility to compete with top programs in the ACC. That’s where our list begins as we take a look at the Top 5 rising juniors in ACC basketball for 2018-19.
