3. Khavon Moore, Texas Tech

I’ve already discussed Moore in detail on my list of under-the-radar freshmen, so if you want a full breakout of his game, check that out.

In a nutshell, Moore is a long, lengthy wing player who may play some point forward for the Red Raiders because of his ball-handling and vision. Texas Tech is trying to replace both Keenan Evans’ playmaking and Zhaire Smith’s athleticism on the wing, and while Moore isn’t as good as either player in this point in his development, he can fill both of the roles.

The 6-8, 190-pounder needs to add some more weight and strength but, given Texas Tech’s needs, he’ll see a lot of playing time right away. That will allow him to show off all of his tools as a freshman – and he has a lot of ’em.
