What to Expect for the 2018-2019 Season?

The forward enters the season as the go-to player on offense for the Catamounts. He also enters as one of the better rim protectors in the conference as he averages over 1 block per game over his career. The Catamounts as mentioned previously hope that Lamb shows no ill effects of the foot injury that derailed his season last year.

Coach Becker is going to look to Lamb to work on his rebounding more this offseason, as a player with the prowess that he has, the forward has only averaged a little over five rebounds per game. His rebound per game number is respectable but all the Catamount faithful know it can be higher and be improved upon.

Barring an unforeseen circumstance, the junior forward is a lock to win the America East player of the year. As was previously mentioned the rest of the great talent has transferred out of the conference or graduated. Lamb is also a legitimate NBA prospect. He has the size and the talent to play as a forward/wing player in the league. The scouts are going to want to see if Lamb can consistently rebound and if he can consistently make threes.

The above items are important not only for the development of the forward but also for the team overall. Lamb is already going to have a game plan derived to stop him. If he can step out and make threes, rebound misses, and create quick offense, that will make him all that more appealing to the NBA scouts.

If these items are all improved upon and Lamb is thriving not only will Lamb be able to do what he wants in the league, Vermont could be unstoppable within their own conference.
