4. Five players will average scoring in double-figures

This is hardly a hot take. In fact, five Blue Devils have averaged in double-figures for scoring in each of the past two seasons. This is, though, a mark of a highly effective offense and should not be taken for granted. Nonetheless, with this elite recruiting class coming in, there will be plenty of scorers on the 2018-19 Duke roster. While it is possible that just a couple of guys (*cough* Barrett and Reddish *cough*) lead the way in scoring by a large margin, it is more likely that many players put up consistently solid numbers.

For starters, both R.J. Barrett and Cam Reddish look like shoe-ins to average scoring in double-figures. These are two of the best scorers in the entire 2018 class and they will likely be options 1a and 1b offensively for Coach K. After them, though, there is a group of players who could all average 10+ points per game.

Of the other incoming freshman, Tre Jones and Zion Williamson could also easily join this group of double-digit scorers. In addition, Joey Baker may put up some serious scoring thanks to his 3-point shooting if he elects to play out the season instead of redshirt. Of the returners, big men Javin DeLaurier and Marques Bolden seem the most likely to possibly reach that threshold.
