3. Juwan Morgan, Indiana

The Indiana Hoosiers are a team that should turn a corner with highly-rated Romeo Langford stepping onto campus. It also helps that Langford will have the veteran experience of rising senior Juwan Morgan to carry some of the load in 2018-19.Morgan broke out in the starting rotation for the Hoosiers last season, producing 16.5 points, 7.4 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.4 blocks and 1.2 steals per contest.

Indiana finished with a 16-15 record, but with the experience returning and talent incoming, they have a chance to challenge for the Big Ten crown. Morgan scored a season-high 34 points along with 11 rebounds in a tough overtime victory over the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, 80-77. His ability to score in bunches should come in handy this upcoming season.

Morgan improved his overall game as a junior, shooting 57.9% from the field and 30.2% (16-for-53) from 3-point range. Langford’s arrival should raise their profile and Morgan should pick up where he left off in 2017-18. Indiana will enter this year with higher expectations in Season 2 under Archie Miller and Morgan will have to be the experienced vet who keeps a level-head in difficult situations.

If the Hoosiers live up to the hype, they should make the NCAA Tournament and Morgan will be a large reason why.
