2. Josh Cunningham, Dayton

All eyes should be on Dayton Flyers rising senior Josh Cunningham to shoulder much of the load in 2018-19. Cunningham will be one of four seniors listed on the roster next season for Dayton and returns as their leading scorer and rebounder.

He produced 15.6 points 8.4 rebounds and 1.7 assists for the Flyers as they went 8-10 in conference play last year. Cunningham was a third-team All-Atlantic 10 selection after leading the conference in field goal percentage (64.6 percent) and third in the league in rebounds per game.

As the Flyers best player in the frontcourt next season, Cunningham has a double-double candidate written all over him. If he can complete the feat, he’ll be a lock for All-Conference honors at season’s end. He recorded 10 double-doubles during his junior year. He’ll need to be a workhorse if he hopes to lead the Flyers to the Big Dance in 2018-19.
