Why should you know him?

The rising sophomore point guard has an old school look to go along with part of his old school game. He stands out immediately for his uncanny ability to control the floor and is a natural floor leader. Hollingsworth, as mentioned above, set some tremendous standards for himself. Perhaps the most important part of his season was starting every game and playing over 30 minutes per night. That shows that Coach Stansbury has a lot of trust and confidence in him.

As a scorer, Hollingsworth is a constant threat who can fill it up from anywhere on the floor. He is a great 3-point shooter and scores points in bunches. One of the aspects of his game that he will need to work on, though, is developing consistency. There were times last year where he would have trouble scoring and would disappear from time to time. With more consistency on the offensive end, Hollingsworth will reach his full potential.

The point guard is also very good at getting to the foul line and making those shots count. An almost 80% free throw shooter a year ago, Hollingsworth is not someone you want to put on the line. Considering his ability to shoot from deep, he is a deadly threat both in the paint and out of it. Coach Stansbury is hoping that Hollingsworth can build on this from a year ago. The experience he gained last year will prove invaluable as he leads the Hilltoppers into battle in the Conference USA. Hollingsworth and the Tops will be one of the best mid-major programs in the country.
