Expectations for Ross in 2018-2019

The tremendous sophomore is already an elite player in the conference. The guard has a penchant for filling a stat sheet in almost every category. As was mentioned earlier, Waves fans have not had much to cheer about on the hardwood recently, however Ross could give the fans in Malibu something to cheer about this year.

The Waves should have a better season as their roster has some talent. Coach Romar is going to implement a new system which is likely going to revolve around Ross doing whatever he can do to provide a spark for the Waves offense. The sophomore is great at getting to the line and should build on that skill this year. Free Throw shooting is an easy way to get quick offense and points on the board. Ross is one of the best free throw shooters in the entire country. He was able to knock in 82% of his free throws last year.

With his ability to score and get to the line, as well as the ability to get other teammates involved, the guard should have no problem finding his way on to the All-Conference team. In a conference that has been dominated and will continue to be dominated by Gonzaga. The race for second place in this conference is something that every team is going to be striving for.

Pepperdine is still most likely not going to finish in the top half of this conference, but with a new coach and one of the best guards in the country, they should have no problem improving on their six wins from a year ago.
