Expectations for Pipkins in 2018-2019

The Minutemen enter the season poised to have their best season in a long time. If Pipkins can improve on his numbers like he has over his career, there is no reason to believe that UMass is not going to be one of the teams to beat in this conference. There is not a single team in the conference without a flaw, and the conference is as wide open as it has been in a long time. No other team in the conference has a  player like Pipkins. Any time your team can have one of the favorites for the preseason player of the year, they enter the season with a huge advantage.

Pipkins is comfortable and confident on the floor. His basketball IQ and his penchant for being clutch are what makes him one of the most exciting players in the Atlantic 10. It will come as no surprise when Coach McCall runs the offense through Pipkins and lets him have the free reign to take the shots he needs to take to give UMass the best chance to win.

As mentioned above the Atlantic 10 is going to be wide open and UMass is going to have an excellent chance of finishing in the top half of the league. If UMass can finish in the top half of the league, it is understood the team should make a return trip to the NCAA tournament. Rest assured that whatever happens with the Minutemen, Pipkins will be at the center of everything.
