PF Nobal Days – Racine, WI

Forward | 6-foot-9 | 195 lbs | No. 297 overall – OFFERED

Ranking just inside the top-300 of the class, Nobal Days is the only in-state target on this list. Wisconsin has struggled in recent years to secure commitments from in-state recruits but Days could help change that trend for Coach Gard. Considering the amount of rising talent within the state, creating a stronger in-state recruiting pipeline would make sense moving forward. For reference, seven top-150 in-state recruits have committed to play somewhere other than in Madison in the last three recruiting classes.

Even though Days may not be a top-150 player, he would still be a nice addition. At the moment (July 20), Wisconsin holds three of the seven crystal ball predictions on 247Sports (two for Marquette and two are “foggy” as well). One of the better hustle players in the 2019 class, Days is an outstanding rebounder who uses his athleticism and excellent timing to come away with a lot of blocked shots. He is not one who will fill up the scoring column very often but he does everything else on the court. Days is a high-energy player who will consistently fight for rebounds and can also be an above-average playmaker for his size.

During his junior year for Racine Park, Days had a really solid year. He played in 26 contests over the course of the season, averaging 6.8 points, 12.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists, and 3.3 blocks per game. His shooting splits (33.7/30.0/52.5) left something to be desired but his prowess as a defender and rebounder was well-noted. On the EYBL circuit, Days played for Howard Pully. In 16 games with the team, Days averaged 2.9 points (33.3/0.0/60.0), 4.9 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 0.6 blocks per game. Despite his relatively low overall ranking in the class, Days has several high-major scholarship offers aside from Wisconsin.

Racine Park basketball coach, Jim Betker, had this to say about Days (Land of 10):

"“You can’t teach some of the things that he does. The kids around here love playing with him just because he’s so unselfish. I know a lot of times people are looking for maybe a high-scoring type of kid. But this kid’s a stat stuffer. I look at him as kind of a point-forward. He handles the ball well for his size, and his basketball IQ is extremely high. He is a 4.3 GPA student with high character. Sometimes they call him ‘The Mayor’ around here. Everybody loves him around school and in the community.”"
