10. Indiana Hoosiers

Location: Assembly Hall (17,222) in Bloomington, IN

I mean, did you really expect to go through this list and not find Assembly Hall (IU)? One of the most famous buildings in college sports, Assembly Hall is well-known as one of the loudest places to watch an NCAA basketball game. It also doesn’t hurt that the Hoosiers are one of the most historically relevant programs in the country thanks to the tremendously long reign of head coach Bob Knight. Even though the program has not been particularly great in recent years, this is still one of the best fan experiences that you can find in college basketball.

With a strong attendance record as well as a rowdy student section, Assembly Hall provides one of the best home-court advantages in the country. Due to some recent struggles, the team has only gone 132-46 (.742) at home over the last 10 years but the historical record over time is hard to match. Since Assembly Hall opened its doors for college hoops in 1971-72, the Hoosiers hold a 578-116 (.833) record at home, including taking care of 110 top-25 teams (in 164 attempts, .671).

With Archie Miller ushering in a new era of basketball in Bloomington, could we see a resurgence of the great Indiana basketball program. The fanbase is eager to see it happen and the coach might be able to get it done.
