1. Jahvon Quinerly, Villanova

Guard | 6-foot-0 | 170 lbs | No. 29 overall

Nobody on this list checks more boxes than Jahvon Quinerly. In addition to being the highest-rated recruit committed to a Big East school, he is also one that should see an immediate role. In recent years, the Villanova Wildcats (and several other teams) have had success trotting out three-guard lineups. With additions of Quinerly and grad transfer Joe Cremo (Albany) to go with the return of senior Phil Booth, head coach Jay Wright could employ a similar tactic during this upcoming season.

Due to the abundance of talent between Cremo and Booth, Quinerly will not need to be a stud right away in order to make an impact. However, that does not mean that he is not capable. Easily one of the best point guards in the 2018 recruiting class, Quinerly brings the perfect mix of scoring and playmaking to the table. He has the ability to drop buckets from all three levels and is extremely dangerous as the ball handler in a pick-and-roll.

Even though Villanova will be younger than normal, there is no reason to anticipate a season in which they do not win the Big East. And, if Quinerly lives up to the hype, the team could once again be one of the favorites to cut down the nets in April. With this top-30 recruit, it looks as though Coach Wright has found his point guard of the future. And, considering some of the other guards he has coached, Quinerly could just be the next in a long line of stars.

Obviously, these recruits have some big shoes to fill based on who left the conference this offseason. Yet, they are all highly-rated and project as excellent players in the league. The question is, though, when will they realize this potential?
